Vahid Pourmoradi, a 35 year old Iranian triple amputee bodybuilder missing two hands and a foot, was seen training hard in a gym in Karaj, near Tehran, on Tuesday, aiming for a spot in the world's most prestigious bodybuilding competition, Mr Olympia.

"I work for hundred percent on the goals I set, which is to compete at the highest level in the world, that is the Mr. Olympia contest in Las Vegas. Thank God, I am moving forward step by step. There is only one problem, and that is that I have no sponsor. I have no supporters," said Pourmoradi, who lost his limbs in a working accident in 2008.

His persistence and his will to succeed despite the circumstances have earned him the nick name "Iran's man of willpower".

"People call me Iran’s man of willpower because I practice sports and do my routine works with the most difficult conditions. In particular, bodybuilding is one of the hardest sports in the world," the bodybuilder said, adding that he refuses to let his disability get in the way of his dreams.

"The different way I got to have this beautiful body was that I never believe in my disability. I did not think that I was disabled. I always say disability is not physical, it is mental. I corrected my thoughts. I did not give up on my goal. I tried hard until I got to the point or goal I wanted."

Pourmoradi's coach, Vahid Reihani, who is also Iran's former bodybuilding champion called his mind and body "powerful."

"If each of us puts ourselves in Vahid's shoes for a moment, we will realize that what Vahid does is unique. Perhaps every human being cannot build this powerful mind and body,” said Reihani.
