    USA: Protesters gather in Miami as presidential candidate Ron DeSantis meets with donors

    Over hundred protesters gathered in front of the Four Seasons hotel to denounce the Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis who was holding a donor event in Miami on Wednesday.

    The event took place hours after the ex-Florida governor announced his run for president.

    The footage shows demonstrators with banners and flags walking through city streets as well as chanting slogans in front of the luxury hotel.

    Earlier on Wednesday, DeSantis filed his statement of candidacy with the Federal Election Commission. He also kicked off his campaign with an hour-long live interview on Twitter Spaces with Elon Musk.

    According to media reports, DeSantis was not present in the hotel when the protest started.
