
Portugal: Police conduct new search into Madeleine McCann's disappearance around Arade dam
Police renewed the search operation on the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, the British child who went missing in 2007 in Portugal, at the Arade dam, 50 kilometres (30 miles) away from where the toddler went missing in the resort of Praia da Luz.
Footage filmed on Wednesday shows police conducting the search operation around the dam, police's tents were seen set around the location.
Around 30 Portuguese, German and British police officers searched for clues regarding the disappearance as part of the operation, requested by German police.
The Madeleine McCann case was revitalised in June 2020 when German authorities identified Christian B. as the main suspect in the case. The 43-year-old man, who currently serving a prison sentence in Kiel, has denied any involvement.
Madeleine McCann went missing from an apartment complex in the Portuguese town of Praia da Luz while her parents were eating dinner at a nearby tapas restaurant on May 3, 2007.
