UK: 'Really looking forward to it' - British boxer Anthony Joshua braces for crucial comeback fight with Jermaine Franklin in London
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he couldn’t wait to get back in the ring and face American Jermaine Franklin, during their joint press conference alongside promoter Eddie Hearn in London, ahead of the fight at the O2 Arena on Saturday.
“I am just so happy I can get back to work and do my job," said Joshua. "I look forward to this assignment, and I cannot wait, honestly. I am really looking forward to it.”
Meanwhile, the American fighter stated he would 'get the win' by any means possible.
Joshua has been out of the ring since losing a rematch to unified champion Oleksandr Usyk in August.
"You know you say you’re not an entertainer but you have entertained the public for so many years," Hearn told him. "They will be watching on huge numbers on Saturday night to see where you’re at."
Hearn has previously stated that Saturday’s fight is seen as a 'must win' for Joshua, if he hopes to have a shot at regaining a heavyweight title.
