
UK: England train ahead of Euro 2024 qualifying match against Ukraine
The England national football team held a training session at St George’s Park in Staffordshire on Saturday ahead of their European Championship qualification match against Ukraine.
England made a successful start on the road to the UEFA Euro 2024 cup, having defeated Italy 2-1 on Thursday, marking the 50th win for 'The Three Lions' since Head Coach Gareth Southgate took the reins.
Striker Harry Kane also became England’s top goalscorer after netting a penalty against Italy and cementing his record with 54 goals in 81 appearances for the national side.
Currently, England is the most expensive national team in the world according to Transfermarkt, and the only national team worth more than 1 billion euros (1.1bn). Ukraine is ranked 19th on the list, and the total value of players is €257 million, according to Transfermarkt.
The qualifier match against Ukraine will take place on Sunday 25 March at Wembley Stadium.
