Traffic policeman, Emmanuel Kopwal, caught the eye of many spectators with his unique dance moves to control the vehicles in Abuja on Friday.

In a bid to get the drivers' attention, Kopwal has started dancing the instructions. It's a way for him to have fun, keep drivers calm and also makes the task of standing in the streets for hours much less stressful.

"Some say that when they're passing through my point, they always see me controlling traffic with all my mind. And they don't see me arresting [sic] anybody and I'm doing the best thing," he commented.

According to the policeman, his job requires him to be quick-thinking and co-ordinated, to control drivers' actions in the busy Abuja streets.

"Like when traffic is jam-packed...you have to use all your body and control...because if you're not smart and fast, they will not obey you. And when you're serious about controlling the traffic...then they will obey you. Then you can clear the road", he explained.

According to media reports, Kopwal has not only received the appreciation of local spectators for his unique dances but has also won several awards from a number of distinguished organisations.
