The 2023 edition of the Middle East's leading International art fair 'Dubai Art' kicked off at Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai on Friday to showcase various artworks of individual artists and galleries.

Footage features artists, paintings, digital artwork, and statues. Visitors could also be seen observing and taking pictures at the exhibition.

Some artists could be seen presenting their collections for the first time in Art Dubai 2023 such as Nermeen Abudail and Gazelli who attempted to represent ten years of their work around the embroidery and Palestinian heritage to share the stories of their ancestors.

"We are at Art Dubai for the second year. This year we have a chance to bring three artists. Right behind me, you can see Julio Le Parc, who is a real icon of Latino-American modernist art. To my right, you can see Jacob Dahlgren, a Swedish artist who finds abstract art in the everyday. As you can see, it is made out of Ikea coat hangers for children and plastic. Dahlgren is a little bit particular because he is also invited, by the fair, to do a series of workshops for children that will subsequently be replicated in all public schools of Dubai which is really about finding art in the everyday," Cilene Andrehn, Exhibitor of Andrehn Schiptjenko, said.

Art Dubai opened its door to the public from March 3 to 5 at Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai. The art fair reportedly featured around 130 modern, contemporary and digital gallery presentations provided by six countries, including approximately 30 fresh participants who experienced their first year.

Over the past 15 years, Art Dubai has strived to put art from different regions including the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia onto the global map.

Benefiting from around 50 sessions planned across five days, the 2023 edition of the art fair offers conferences, talks, workshops, and education programmes for families and students.
