Tourists and locals of Lima enjoyed a pump of adrenaline and emotions by walking through Lima’s first multicoloured suspension bridge between the hills of San Juan de Lurigancho.

Footage filmed on Monday shows the courageous visitors walking on the breathtaking bride and enjoying the view between Lima's hills.

"It is a mixture of adrenaline, a mixture of emotions. When you cross, you see the pretty precipice, the bridge moves, and you walk straight ahead. And excellent is a feeling that you have to experience yourself when you come here", said Marco Silva, a local tourist.

According to the director of the Lomas del Mirador Project, Jorman Cabello, the suspension bridge has "corresponding security", allowing adrenaline-seekers to enjoy the experience safely.

"Currently, the bridge has a resistance of 60 tons. Each line has five lines and a resistance of at least 12 tons. In addition, we have the corresponding personal protection equipment certified by the Edel Weiss brand, which guarantees the safety of who passes through this suspension bridge", said Cabello.

He added thousands of visitors had already attempted to cross the bridge, even though it was recently inaugurated, after the new year.

"It has been inaugurated approximately a month ago, and in its first month, we have approximately 2,500 visitors", said Cabello.

The suspension bridge is about 110 meters long and equipped with guards and guides.
