
Greece: 'One of a kind' - Patras Carnival returns with stunning parade after three-year COVID hiatus
The biggest carnival parade in Greece took place in Patras on Sunday with the participation of thousands of revellers after a three-year COVID-19 ban.
Footage shows a procession of floating platforms, people dancing across the streets of the city in the Grand Parade during Patras Carnival and enjoying fireworks in the evening.
"I'm French and Tunisian, this is my first time in Patras. It's really one-of-a-kind, the atmosphere is just gorgeous, really really beautiful. You should come here, you should really try it," said Monya, a participant.
Patras Carnival is not only the biggest carnival in Greece, but it is also one of the biggest and best carnival celebrations in all of Europe.
