Locals of Aleppo faced new tremors on Monday as they continued clear-up operations of the rubble left by the February 6 earthquake. A new wave of earthquakes hit the Syria-Turkey border on Monday, scaling to a magnitude of 6.4 on the Richter scale.
Footage shows heavy machinery deployed to clear up the rubble in Aleppo after six people were reported injured in Syria's second-largest city following the latest quake.
According to Turkey's Emergency and Disaster Management Authority (AFAD), the new quake killed eight people and injured more than 300 in parts of Turkey devastated two weeks ago by a massive earthquake that killed more than 46,000 people in both countries.
The new earthquake had its epicentre in the town of Defne in Turkey's Hatay province.
