Massive fields of blooming rape flowers attracted tourists in Nanning, Guangxi region, as can be seen in the footage filmed on Friday.
Footage shows fields of yellow rape flowers blooming in the Bi Village of Binyang County in spring. More than a thousand acres of rape flowers can be seen blooming, forming a yellow flower sea.
"My friend said that there was a beautiful rape field here, so I came to see it," said a tourist named Zheng, adding "I feel very comfortable. The rape field is also very spacious. I feel very relaxed."
The flowering period of rapeseed is in the 2-3 months after the beginning of spring each year.
Another tourist named Wu commented “Because my children are ready to start school. While it is still a holiday and the weather is very good, I will bring them here to play. I think this flower field is very beautiful.”
This year is the first year that Binyang County government organised local residents to plant a large area of rape flowers in many places such as Bi Village and Daqiao Town. It has combined with Binyang Firecracker Dragon Festival to promote the development of local tourism.
