USA: 'Suspects are still at large' - LAPD after three confirmed dead, four injured in Beverly Crest shooting
A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson confirmed that 'suspects are still at large' after three people were killed and four injured in the Beverly Crest neighbourhood of LA on Saturday.
"LAFD (fire department) responded and pronounced three of those victims died. And we now can confirm that the three dead are still in a parked car in front of the residence," explained Bruce Borihanh, a sergeant with the Los Angeles Police Department.
"Suspects are still at large but we don't think there's a public danger at this time," he continued.
Footage shows police officers and vehicles at the address, with yellow tape cordoning off the area.
According to media reports, the shooting took place at around 2:30am local time (10:30 GMT), while Borihanh said many of the details were still being investigated.
"At this time, we know that the house was a short-term rental. What kind of gathering it was, we don't know. Investigators are still in the process of interviewing witnesses, additional occupants, and some of the neighbours and residents," he stated.
It marks the sixth fatal shooting in California this month. Just last Saturday, 11 people were killed by a gunman at a Monterey Park dance studio, during Chinese New Year celebrations.
