    Spain: Wildfire breaks out through parts of Sierra de Gredos

    A wildfire broke out in the Guisando forest in Sierra de Gredos, Avila, about 173 kilometres (107 miles) west of Madrid on Tuesday.

    The fire began around 2 pm on Monday in an area high up the mountains and far from any residential areas making it difficult for firefighters to put out the blaze.

    Later on Tuesday, officials said that the fire was brought under control.
