
Qatar: Qatar Balloon Festival is taking place in its third edition at Doha old port
The third Qatar Balloon Festival edition which was cancelled in 2022 by COVID-19, was held with more than 50 hot air balloons from around the world colourful display in Doha as seen in footage on Sunday.
The event was scheduled for taking place after the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which is one of the country's most prominent events.
"The festival grows year by year which gets more crowded," commented Hassan Al-Moussawi, organiser of the Qatar Balloon Festival, "this year we will see more than 50 hot air balloons, from 17 different countries. This festival brings together several participants from various countries and is a tourist attraction".
Participants had the occasion of meeting other pilots as well as the Qatari culture.
