TV and silver-screen celebrities graced the blue carpet as they arrived for the premiere of the next instalment of James Cameron's Avatar, in Berlin on Monday.

'Avatar: The Way of Water' brought together celebrities and influencers from the German scene and was held at Zoo Palast in the capital.

"I was at the cinema with my grandmother and I remember it because it was one of the first 3D movies. And I'm very excited, and expecting a very colourful and animated movie," said a celebrity upon arriving for the premiere.

Set in the imaginary world of Pandora, 'Avatar: The Way of Water' follows up on the story of Jake Sully and Neytiri as they explore the planet amid an ancient threat.

The original 'Avatar' movie was released in 2009.
