The 'pajes reales' (royal pages), who assist the Three Wise Kings for delivering presents to Spanish children during the Christmas celebrations, brought a festive mood to the Madrid subway on Thursday.

While dancing and singing, the pages approached commuters and collected children's wishes for the Three Wise Kings. The carriages were also decorated with Christmas drawings and lights.

"When we see small children, we try to talk to them and even ask them to tell us what they want for Christmas, we have even made dedications for those grandparents who have asked us to give greetings to their grandchildren", said Sara, one of the pages.

According to the Spanish tradition, the Three Wise Kings bring presents to children who have behaved well during the year on Epiphany Day, celebrated on January 6.
