The Russian Aerospace Forces have destroyed the workshops of defence plants in Zaporozhye and Pavlograd. Russian Defence Ministry spokesperson Igor Konashenkov announced this on Thursday.

"High-precision missile attacks launched by the Russian Aerospace Forces near Pavlograd [Dnepropetrovsk region] have resulted in the destruction of the workshops at a manufacturing facility that produced fuel and rocket engines for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The attacks have also resulted in the destruction of the workshops at the Iskra research and production plant in Zaporozhye, which produced electronic components to repair radar stations of the AFU and multiple-launch rocket systems," Konashenkov said.

The spokesperson also added that Russian troops had taken under their control the road between the village of Pavlovka and the village of Nikolskiy in the Donetsk People's Republic.

The Ukrainian side has not made official comments in response to the Russian Defence Ministry's statements so far.

Ukraine's Defence Ministry said in an official report on Thursday that the Russian Armed Forces launched five airstrikes and 25 rocket attacks, as well as more than 10 rocket launcher attacks over 24 hours.

Moscow launched the military offensive in Ukraine in late February after recognising the independence of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics.

Kiev denounced the Russian action, and Zelensky imposed martial law throughout the country, announcing a general mobilisation.
