Indonesian President Joko Widodo hailed world leaders for the ability to adopt a declaration of the 2022 G20 Summit, which wrapped up in the luxury tropical resort Nusa Dua of Bali on Wednesday.

Speaking at a final press conference at the Bali Summit's media centre, Widodo said that discussion on the paragraph condemning the war in Ukraine had been "very very tough" and discussions had continued till midnight on Tuesday.

"We agreed that war has an impact on the global economy, as the recovery of the global economy will not be achieved without peace. Therefore, as I previously said, the war must be stopped," said Widodo.

The Indonesian President also expressed his regret over the rocket incident in Poland that claimed the lives of at least two civilians.

"I regret the incident in Poland. I call all parties to remain calm and refrain from escalating tensions. I always state that war only brings devastation. Therefore we must stop the war," said Widodo.
