China: Xi to meet South Korea's President Yoon on sidelines of G20 summit - MOFA spox

The spokesperson of China's Ministery of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Mao Ning held a press conference in Beijing on Tuesday, in which she confirmed a bilateral meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and South Korean counterpart Yoon Suk-yeol.

The two leaders are set to meet on Tuesday afternoon in Bali, Indonesia, while the region hosts the G20 summit.

"This is the first formal meeting between the two heads of state and is of great significance. At that time, the two sides will have an in-depth exchange of views on China-South Korea relations and issues of common concern," said Mao Ning.

The MOFA spokesperson said the meeting aims to "achieve positive results and point out the direction and inject new impetus into the next development of Sino-ROK relations".
