
Russia: Fireworks light up Moscow sky to celebrate V-Day
Dazzling fireworks, which lit up the Moscow night sky, marked the end of the celebrations of the 77th anniversary of Victory on the Eastern Front of World War II on Monday.
According to the mayor’s office, the fireworks were launched from 36 sites. Muscovites could enjoy the best view from the Luzhniki stadium, Gorky park, Hermitage Garden and other locations.
The show started at 22:00 Moscow time (19:00 GMT) and lasted for 10 minutes. At the end of the fireworks, lights in the colours of the Russian national flag were released into the sky.
