
Russia: V-Day parade takes place in St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg
The 77th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War was marked with military parades in St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg on Monday.
Over 4,100 troops and more than 80 pieces of military equipment marched on the Palace Square in St.Petersburg.
In Ekaterinburg, 50 pieces of military equipment and nearly 2,500 soldiers took part in the parade, according to the press service of the Russian Central military district.
The aircraft show was canceled in both cities due to bad weather conditions, as well as in Moscow, Novosibirsk, Samara, and Murmansk.
