
Germany: Russian officials lay flowers at Soviet War Memorial in Berlin for Victory Day
Russian officials laid flowers at Soviet War Memorial in Treptower Park, Berlin, to commemorate victory over Nazi Germany at World War II on Monday.
The officials, amongst them the Russian ambassador to Germany Sergei Nechayev, were seen walking towards the memorial and laying flowers.
Dozens of attendees were also presented at the ceremony, some of them carrying the Russian flag.
Victory Day celebrations are held in Russia every year at 9th of May to commemorate the Soviet Union's victory against Nazi Germany at World War II.
