    An unusual snowfall blanketed Damascus on Wednesday evening after temperatures fell down to two degrees Celsius.

    The streets of the capital were covered with snow, and some locals could be seen playing outside and taking pictures.

    According to the Syrian state news agency (SANA), the Traffic Department of the Ministry of Interior announced a disruption in some main roads due to the accumulation of snow and the formation of ice and thick fog.
