Iranian woman Giti Mousavi, popularly known as the 'world's most powerful' broke her own record in truck-pulling in Tabriz on Wednesday.

Mousavi pulled a 17,200 kg (37,919 pounds) truck for 41 metres in 1:31 minutes in the presence of friends and her relatives. This beat her own record that she set in 2019 when she pulled a truck weighing 12,380 kg (27,293 pounds) for 30 metres.

Speaking after the feat, Mousavi said "I'm so glad I did it. You see, I do not want to show my power. I want to say that if a human being wants and tries to do something, even if she is a woman, she can do it. Everyone can do this."

This constitutes an unofficial world record for Mousavi since her record is not recognised by Guinness World Records and no representatives of the organisation were present during the attempt as she did not have the essential monetary funds to register her record.

According to the head of Tabriz 'most powerful individual' committee in the East Azerbaijan province, Giti Mousavi's record was set by pulling a 17-ton truck on a flat surface, making her the first person to accomplish this feat.

Ali Rezaei who is responsible for Iran's national records of the Iranian Ministry of Sport and Youth will deliver her official documents to be registered on Iran’s national records in the next weeks. After that, the procedure for registering her record on Guinness World Records will begin.
