Russia: Tiger from Barnaul zoo attracts staff's attention by 'singing' songs

Sherkhan, a tiger at the 'Forest Tale' zoo, in the Russian city of Barnaul, has been amazing his keepers and visitors by taking a page from is Jungle Book cartoon counterpart, and 'singing' songs, as seen on Sunday.

The tiger can be seen pacing around its cage or sitting on a dais, which the predator apparently considers its stage, hitting high notes.

Zoo staff explained on their social media page that Sherkhan has been attracting his mother's attention in this way since he was born.

The repertoire of the rising star of Barnaul Zoo is still small, but he already has several hits in his arsenal, which reminded some Internet users of compositions by Russian singer Vitas.

Other Sherkhan's fans suggested that the tiger had a cold, but zoo officials assured that the predator was healthy.
