As part of the First International Silk Road Calligraphy event 'Calligraphy Dance,' a video mapping projection brightened up the Azadi Tower in Tehran on Monday night.

A selection of artworks based on different calligraphies were screened as a video mapping on the Azadi ('Freedom') Tower.

"Calligraphy is a common feature between the countries of the Silk Road. If you look, you will see lines from Russia, Spain, China and different countries coming together to do something with calligraphy," said video mapping producer and director Amirreza Salari.

The video projection will be performed over the Tehrani landmark until Thursday evening, with projections taking place from 18:30 to 20:00 (15:00 to 16:30 GMT).
