      Cakalburnu Lagoon in Turkey's Izmir is now home to flocks of pink flamingos, footage from Thursday shows.

      The beautiful birds rested on the coastal wetland on the southern side of the Bay of Izmir which is protected from wind.

      Izmir is one of the main breeding sites of flamingos in Turkey in winter.
