USA: News networks building near Capitol boarded up ahead of Inauguration Day
The Hall of States, an office building near the Capitol that houses news networks like AP, Fox and NBC and many Washington offices of the fifty states, was boarded up on Thursday as security has been tightening in Washington DC ahead of President-Elect Joe Biden's inauguration on January 20.
The network logos could also be seen covered with plastic bags.
After the US Capitol storming by pro-Trump supporters last week, the FBI has warned of armed protests being planned for Washington ahead of the inauguration. The National Guard is reportedly expected to send 20,000 troops to DC to scale up security on Inauguration Day.
