A Barcelona man was arrested on Friday after being accused of intentionally ramming his vehicle against a squatted building that reportedly belongs to him.

The 76-year-old man's reported property has been occupied for days by squatters who created a space named 'La Mecanica.'

The man has been detained by Barcelona police, with the city's Urban Guard also being deployed to the scene. There were no injuries in the incident.

Barcelona police have opened an investigation to clarify the incident's circumstances.
