
UK: Military presence at Bristol stadium earmarked as COVID-19 vaccination centre
Military personnel were seen at Ashton Gate stadium in Bristol on Wednesday, as the site was designated to become a COVID vaccination center.
The venue was suggested in a public board report to University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Trust (UHBW) board last week.
According to one estimate, more than 100,000 people could be vaccinated at the facility every week.
On Wednesday, the British government approved the use of a vaccine developed by a joint project of Pfizer and BioNTech.
