Three-year-old Chinese table tennis prodigy stuns with rapid-fire rallies
Meet three-year-old Jiang Yunbo, a table tennis prodigy, who was demonstrating his incredible skills and precision in Chengdu, on Monday.
The young talent, nicknamed 'Little Rice Cake' began playing table tennis when he was only one and a half years old.
Since then his grandma has been coaching him, having herself played for China's Sichuan Province table tennis team.
Jiang's grandma Ms Ma said, "he has been practising for two years so far, especially since the beginning of the pandemic, he began to practice for an hour every day."
She stressed that the future of her grandson's table tennis career is in his own hands, adding, "we are mainly training him as he loves playing table tennis. When he grows up in the future, whether he will continue playing table tennis or not will depend on his own preferences," but added in any case they will do their best to support him.
Videos of Jiang Yunbo's slaying at table tennis have gone viral on Douyin, the Chinese version of Tik Tok, and have helped the 'Little Rice Cake' amass thousands of followers.
