At least three people were killed in a fierce storm that hit the city of Yekaterinburg and the Sverdlovsk region on Monday.

In the footage filmed in the city centre, a pedestrian can be seen walking on a fragment of a roof blown off by the wind, as suddenly a strong gust throws the roof and the man into the side of a car parked nearby. The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Emergency services in Yekaterinburg are working to clear the streets from fallen trees and to restore the power lines brought down by the storm.
