Tottenham Hotspur announced Portuguese Jose Mourinho as their new manager on Tuesday, after the north London club sacked Argentine Mauricio Pochettino following a poor run of form this season.
Mourinho, who has been out of job since being sacked by Manchester United in December 2018, has signed a contract with Spurs which runs until the end of the 2022-23 season.
During his illustrious career the Portuguese has managed some of the world biggest football clubs, including Chelsea, Real Madrid and Inter Milan. He has won the English Premier League title three times and has also twice hoisted the UEFA Champions League trophy, among other honours.
He was named Portuguese Coach of the Century by the Portuguese Football Federation and one of the ten greatest coaches since 1954 by UEFA.
Mourinho provided commentary and predictions on the Russia World Cup 2018 matches as part of RT's specially-launched project, and earlier this year analysed UEFA Champions League games for RT on his show 'On the Touchline with Jose Mourinho’.
