      Syrian Arab Army (SAA) soldiers reached the outskirts of Manbij on Tuesday, after reaching a deal with Kurdish groups to resist the ongoing Turkish incursion into northern Syria.

      Footage shows local residents celebrating with Syrian flags and images of President Bashar al-Assad among military vehicles and SAA troops.

      Ankara's military offensive dubbed 'Operation Peace Spring' began on October 9, with the aim of creating a 'safe zone' in northern Syria cleared of Kurdish forces.
