Tensions between police and Yellow Vest protesters heightened in the early hours of Saturday's rally, in Paris.

Riot police were seen advancing and using pepper spray against protesters, in an attempt to disperse them as they marched across the streets.

The Yellow Vests are hitting the French capital for the 45th weekend in a row, in an effort to keep pressure on French President Emmanuel Macron's government.
