Venezuela: 'Not even a thousand Trumps' will make us walk away - foreign minister
Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza hit back at senior figures within the Trump administration in a press conference on Tuesday after the US imposed sweeping sanctions on the Venezuelan government.
"Not even a thousand Trumps, nor five hundred Boultons, nor four hundred Pences, nor three hundred Pompeos, not Marcos Rubio, nor Abrahams, nor even Guaidos will get us to leave the negotiating table," declared Arreaza.
The foreign minister blamed the US President Donald Trump personally for the measures, which will freeze Venezuelan government assets in the US and bar transactions with the South American country.
The move is aimed at increasing pressure on Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to step down.
