Israel: Netanyahu calls for united front against Iran and Hezbollah
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on the international community to join the struggle against Iran and its allies in the Middle East during a speech from Jerusalem on Thursday.
"The struggle against the Iranian aggression is not only ours, it should be the struggle of the entire world," Netanyahu said.
He also said Israel would be prepared to "stand alone against Iran and its proxies", if necessary.
Netanyahu is an outspoken critic of the now floundering Iranian nuclear deal, accusing Tehran of harbouring ambitions to develop nuclear weapons.
Iran denies the accusations, insisting the programme is for peaceful purposes only.
The Israeli prime minister was speaking at a ceremony for fallen soldiers of the second Lebanon war.
