Seventy-five year old Dr. Harmesh Sharma is a record-holding powerlifter who trains at a local gym in Westborough, Ma, under the guidance of powerlifter and trainer Mark Knowles.

"I have never felt this good. I think when I talk to my children, who are two boys, they are about 48 and 45, I think I can lift weights with them," he said on Saturday.

Sharma, who holds five national powerlifting records in his age category, is heading to the nationals in Chicago this year and if he does well there will head to the World championships in Africa.

"If you make it to the worlds that’s basically like making it to the Olympics of powerlifting," said Knowles.
