USA: Trump hails new healthcare plan expanding 'choice'
US President Donald Trump hailed new healthcare reform designed to expand choice for small businesses, as part of a larger effort to loosen healthcare regulations.
Speaking from the White House Rose Garden, Trump said the move was "groundbreaking".
The new rule allows employers to use tax-exempted funds, known as health reimbursement arrangements or HRAs, for workers to purchase coverage in the individual market, as opposed to through a traditional employer-sponsored health plan.
The Trump administration has sought to expand healthcare options after its efforts to repeal ObamaCare failed.
