Russia: Investigative reporter Golunov reunited with pet pooch Margo as charges dropped
The heart-warming reunion of Russian investigative journalist Ivan Golunov and his dog was captured at the Russian Interior Ministry in Moscow on Tuesday.
Earlier, the reporter was released after all charges against him were dropped due to a lack of evidence.
The Meduza journalist was arrested on 6 June on charges of drug trafficking. Police alleged that he was found carrying four grams of methamphetamine in his rucksack and he was charged with drug dealing.
Golunov received an outcry of support from the Russian media and celebrities, who claimed the charges were trumped up in retaliation for his work.
