
Russia: Hundreds of thousands take part in Immortal Regiment march through streets of Moscow
Hundreds of thousands of people took part in Moscow's Immortal Regiment march on the 74th anniversary of Victory Day on Thursday, honouring those Russians that fought in Great Patriotic War (World War II).
According to the Russian Interiror Ministry, more than 700,000 participants marched along Tverskaya Street to the Red Square, many of them holding portraits of their relatives and the unknown veterans of the war.
Dozens of cities throughout Russia and around the world are holding marches celebrating the 74th Victory Day, marking the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
