More than 13,600 servicemen and 130 pieces of military equipment are taking part in Moscow's Victory Day Parade. The traditional military aircraft flyover was cancelled at the last minute due to thick clouds over the Russian capital.
Hundreds of commemorative events are to be held in Russia and around the globe to mark the 74th anniversary of the official capitulation of Nazi Germany to the Soviet forces in 1945.
