    Russia: Troops and military vehicles hit Red Square during Victory day rehearsals

    Troops and military vehicles paraded on Moscow's Red Square for an evening rehearsal of the 2019 Moscow Victory Day Parade, Saturday.

    Hundreds of soldiers marched through the square followed by columns of military hardware, including Armata tanks and S-400 missile systems. On May 9, a parade will mark the 74th anniversary of the end of World War II.

    More than 13,600 servicemen, 130 pieces of military equipment and 74 aircraft are expected to take part in Moscow's Victory Day military parade.

    Hundreds of commemorative events are to be held in Russia and around the globe to mark the anniversary of the official capitulation of Nazi Germany to the Soviet forces in 1945.
