
Mozambique: Strongest cyclone to hit country leaves at least 3 dead
Mozambique is on high alert as the most powerful cyclone to hit the east African country killed at least three people and ravaged Ibo Island with strong winds and rain on Friday.
Thousands have been evacuated as officials warn of flooding in the aftermath of cyclone Kenneth, with winds reaching over 220km/h (140mph).
Back in March, Cyclone Idai killed at least 900 people and flattened rural and urban areas in Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Malawi.
