USA: Trump attacks McCain again for giving Steele dossier to FBI
US President Donald Trump attacked Senator John McCain, who died in 2018, saying he'd "never liked him much " and that he'd "probably never will," during a speech at a military base in Lima, Ohio on Wednesday.
Trump's main criticism of McCain is that he turned over information to the FBI about allegations of crimes and collusion against Trump, in a document known as the Steele Dossier.
"He got it. And what did he do? He didn't call me. He turned it over to the FBI hoping to put me in jeopardy. And that's not the nicest thing to do," said Trump adding that the dossier was fake.
During the same speech, the president also claimed that the so-called Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) had been defeated and was "gone as of tonight."
