UK: Firmino 'positive' about featuring against Everton, says Klopp
Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp said Roberto Firmino was "positive" about his chances of being fit to take on Everton in Sunday's Merseyside derby at Goodison Park. Klopp made the remarks at a press conference in Liverpool on Friday.
Firmino missed Liverpool's midweek clash against Watford after injuring his ankle playing against Manchester United last weekend.
Klopp also said each member of his squad - including club captain Jordan Henderson - has to accept that they cannot play in every game of the Premier League. He stressed that playing time was based on a player's injury profile and whether the player needed a rest.
The Liverpool manager's comments come after he and Henderson failed to shake hands after Klopp subbed him off last week in the draw against Man Utd, before putting him on the bench against Watford.
Liverpool take on Everton at 4.15pm local time in the Premier League on Sunday.
