Venezuela: Assembly President Diosdado Cabello 'hoping for peace' at Tachira border
The President of the Constituent Assembly of Venezuela Diosdado Cabello said that Venezuela is "hoping for peace," during a pro-Maduro demonstration at Simon Bolivar bridge in Tachira on Sunday.
"We are hoping for peace, we are…look, to achieve peace, it costs a lot, to achieve peace the force is missing, the force to achieve peace, here there is a big force of people and of the armed forced," said Cabello.
Cabello stood alongside dozens of supporters and chanted slogans at the same place where clashed erupted on Saturday, as volunteers attempted to deliver humanitarian aid through the barricaded Simon Bolivar International bridge.
