Ukraine: Candle-lit memorial service marks fifth anniversary of Euromaidan
107 rays of light were lit in downtown Kiev on Wednesday, symbolising the souls of the people who were killed during the Maidan protests of 2014.
The attendees placed flowers and lit candles to pay their tribute to the victims.
The Euromaidan Movement reached its peak during February 2014, and culminated in then Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovych being ousted from office. The wave of protests was followed by the secession of Crimea and ongoing conflict in the eastern, Russian-speaking parts of the country.
