Chad: Our policy is ‘to harm Iranian entrenchment in Syria’ – Netanyahu
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasised Israel’s resolve in weakening Iranian influence in Syria before his departure from N’Djamena airport on Sunday.
"We have a set policy: to harm Iranian entrenchment in Syria and to harm anyone who tries to harm us,” said the Israeli Prime Minister before boarding the plane back to Israel.
Netanyahu who had only arrived in Chad earlier on Sunday aimed to restore Israel’s ties with the country.
The visit came after Chad's President Idriss Deby paid a surprise visit to Jerusalem back in November 2018.
Chad had severed diplomatic relations with Israel in 1972.
