
North Korea: "We can make the Korean Peninsula the most peaceful"
The Supreme Leader of North Korea Kim Jong Un gave his New Year address to the Korean people from Pyongyang, Tuesday.
He spoke of the "unthinkable" and "remarkable" achievements of the Korean people, North and South, following strides in diplomacy and cooperation between the divided Korean nations.
"As the North and South firmly promised that they will move towards the path for peace and prosperity," Un told the world. However, he cautioned against the military exercises of the South with "foreign powers," stating "they should be stopped."
